The power behind social media

By Angela Brooks

Social Media has grown over last year in leaps and bounds. It is not for just kids any more. It is for people finding those they have not talked to in years, business, chatting, and many more. The flaw seems to be when people miss use it - and become spammers or what I like to say "puking on their friends"

What is social media ? A category of sites that is based on user participation and user-generated content. They include social networking sites like LinkedIn or Facebook, social bookmarking sites like Del.icio.us, social news sites like Digg or Reddit, and other sites that are centered on user interaction. Like everything else there is a right way and a wrong way to use these sites.

How Do You Get Started with Social Media?

Look:
With so many social media sites out there, you may want to do some investigative work to find out where your best customers are. Since these sites offer free memberships, it only costs you in time to join multiple sites.

Listen: Once you've joined, listen to the conversations around you. Each site may have its own mores, but generally people don't want you storming into a conversation to tell them how great your products or services are.

Join In: Once you feel comfortable with your surroundings, feel free to join in. Just don't make it a sales pitch. Find a group that you can participate in. If you sell dog products, find and join dog lovers' groups.

Start: If you're feeling really daring, start your own group, and invite current clients and colleagues to join in. A real estate agent might start a group focused on the local area (restaurants, schools, taxes, etc.), getting local business owners and residents to join together.

Use Social Marketing to build your network marketing business. We have all heard the term... closing the sale right? Well, I think the term closing actually turns people off, don't you? This is how a lot of people build their business, by closing sales. They chased people, they mutilated people, pressured people and they used scare tactics like... if you don't buy now you will lose out on something. That's what closing the sale is. Do you really want to do that, I sure don't.

So how do you differentiate yourself from all the rest? Well, one way is by creating content on the internet, e-zine articles, blogs, social networks, twitter and videos. These are some of the ways that you can spread the word about your uniqueness. The more people you help, the more people will like you and trust you. What you’re really doing is educating people, that is, solving problems, and there it is… “teaching sells” a term Ann Sieg uses.

Social Media is a way you can build your business on a budget - allow people to get to know you and
in return you get to know them.

Obama's Plan to Change U.S. Health Care System

We have all heard it over and over for a least a year - about healthcare and how it needs to change.
The Obama started his campaign about his plans to make changes and I hope he does for the better. I went to Obama's website and and this is the plan he has listed.

The Current Situation

Making sure every American has access to high quality health care is one of the most important challenges of our time. The number of uninsured Americans is growing, premiums are skyrocketing, and more people are being denied coverage every day. A moral imperative by any measure, a better system is also essential to rebuilding our economy -- we want to make health insurance work for people and businesses, not just insurance and drug companies.

The Solution

  • Reform the health care system:

We will take steps to reform our system by expanding coverage, improving quality, lowering costs, honoring patient choice and holding insurance companies accountable.

  • Promote scientific and technological advancements:

We are committed to putting responsible science and technological innovation ahead of ideology when it comes to medical research. We believe in the enormous capacity of American ingenuity to find cures for diseases that continue to extinguish too many lives and cause too much suffering every year.

  • Improve preventative care:

In order to keep our people healthy and provide more efficient treatment we need to promote smart preventative care, like cancer screenings and better nutrition, and make critical investments in electronic health records, technology that can reduce errors while ensuring privacy and saving lives.

If you didn’t already know this, American medical care is the most expensive in the world. The U.S. spends more than twice as much on each person for health care as most other industrialized countries. And yet it has fallen to last place among those countries in preventing avoidable deaths through use of timely and effective medical care.

That the system is fatally flawed and in need of a radical overhaul is self-evident.

Now don't get me wrong - I am not one that follows this stuff real close and gages each and every move they make but I know it needs to be re-hauled.

The rise of Network Marketing as the next Major Profession is becoming a fast growing industry. People are tired of depending on someone else to take care of them and are seeking other ways to take care of their families. The government is playing with the healthcare. Then healthcare decides who will be your doctor and which medication you can take or that they will pay for it.

In Network Marketing you decide how you want to market and to whom. Once you have made the decision to become a network marketing professional is it time to learn a skill and become good at what you do. The Renegade Network Marketer provides training to take you there.

Network Marketing: A behavior change for healthcare

By Angela Brooks

People tend to think the healthcare industry is recession-proof; it's not. With the financial crisis in full swing, we're beginning to see the effects. Hospitals are delaying new building projects, postponing emergency room improvements, deferring purchases of expensive equipment, and generally cutting budgets

As healthcare consumers have less money to spend on their health, it's equally important to focus their marketing efforts where they are likely to have the greatest impact.

Maintain profitable volume and direct consumers to the right resources by knowing their targets. The Renegade Network Marketers team provide healthcare marketers insights and tools that can help them understand their segments and identify the best targets. Healthcare practitioners often fall victim to the widely-held, but mistaken belief that being a good doctor is sufficient to attract new patients and assure success. In reality, this non sequitur often leads to failure, and the frustration of feeling like a "best kept secret."

The reality is that a professional approach to marketing can enhance your reputation and your bottom line.

Done properly, ethical practice marketing can grow healthcare profits, attract patients who appreciate and can afford quality care, deliver the high-paying fulfilling cases they want and even enable them to have a new life again.

Network Marketing is a new behavior change for healthcare and healthcare marketers. Learn how to build your network marketing empire.

Why Nurses and Health Care Professionals are Perfect for Network Marketing.‏

By Angela Brooks

Why are Nurses and Health Care Professionals seeking network marketing. As Health care workers: Nursing, Psychiatric, and Home Health Aides help care for physically or mentally ill, injured, disabled, or infirm individuals in hospitals, nursing care facilities, and mental health settings. Home health aides have duties that are similar, but they work in patients’ homes or residential care facilities.

Nursing aides and home health aides are among the occupations commonly referred to as direct care workers, due to their role in working with patients who need long-term care. The specific care they give depends on their specialty.

Nursing aides also known as nurse aides, nursing assistants, certified nursing assistants, geriatric aides, unlicensed assistance personnel, orderlies, or hospital attendants provide hands-on care and perform routine tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff.

Home health aides help elderly, convalescent, or disabled persons live in their own homes instead of health care facilities.

Psychiatric aides, also known as mental health assistants or psychiatric nursing assistants, care for mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed individuals.

Nursing, psychiatric, and home health aides held about 2.3 million jobs in 2006. Nursing aides held the most jobs—approximately 1.4 million. Home health aides held roughly 787,000 jobs, and psychiatric aides held about 62,000 jobs. About 52 percent of nursing aides worked in nursing and residential care facilities and another 29 percent worked in hospitals. Home health aides were mainly employed by home health care services, nursing and residential care facilities and social assistance agencies.

About 47 percent of all psychiatric aides worked in hospitals, primarily in psychiatric and substance abuse hospitals, although some also worked in the psychiatric units of general medical and surgical hospitals. Others were employed in State government agencies; residential mental retardation, mental health, and substance abuse facilities; and nursing and residential care facilities.

Network marketing has a lot to offer, nurses, health care professionals!

Nurses are drawn to network marketing for good reasons. Anyone that who represents the caring profession is, supportive, and hardworking. Their genuine desire to help others indicates a perfect fit for this business.

Nurses are under incredible pressure - a health care system in chaos is not a healthy environment to work in. Erratic hours chronic staff shortages, the risk of contagious diseases, an increasing demands on their time can easily lead to stress, exhaustion, and burnout!

Network marketing is an opportunity to make a worthwhile contribution without sacrificing your own sanity. Their natural empathy helps nurses build strong relationships, and their genuine desire to help others makes them nurturing leaders.

Not to mention that most nurses do not get to spend that much time with there family. Children thrive with their parents at home. The first years shape who they are going to be as a person. Everyone knows the first 5 years of a child's life is the most important. There are NO second chances at raising a child. Losing memories is just not worth it to me.

I have been in nursing for 22 years. Network Marketing has been a wonderful match for me and getting to set my own hours to meet my family needs has been priceless. Health care workers give a lot of themselves to others. My experience with Network Marketing shows another way of sharing and helping others - meet the needs that mean so much to them. Quality time with family.

Rising Health Care Costs Cause Aging Health Care Workers to Delay Retirement‏

By Angela Brooks

In the year 2009, you do not hear many people talking about retirement as something that will happen to them. That thought seems like a far away dream. This year I will have 20 years working with the health care company I am presently employed with and thankful that I do see retirement as an option. Where most people are delaying retiring as aging health care workers, I am making more plans.

With the rising cost of health care, and living expenses if you did not start planning for retirement when you started to work.Retirement can be just a dream. Some people do work longer as a choice andothers do because they can not afford to quit working. As the baby boomers begin to ease into their 60s, most expect to delay retirement longer than their parents or grandparents.

Two new reports portray aging boomers as better educated, with higher incomes and longer life expectancies than the generations that preceded them. They also have fewer children and are less likely to be married, leaving them with fewer options for help in their old age. Americans had been retiring at ever-younger ages since the growth of private pensions and Social Security began more than 50 years ago. However, the retirement trend appears to be reversing. Some will choose to continue working.

A government survey shows that most workers nearing retirement age want to gradually reduce their workload rather than abruptly stop. Many people are ill-prepared for retirement. Most underestimate the amount of savings they require to live comfortably in their golden years. As life expectancies continue to improve, and costs continue to rise, there is a real concern that the superannuation nest-egg alone will not be sufficient for most, in their old age, to maintain the lifestyle they are accustomed to.

Health bills could consist of a substantial portion to your overall expenses. There is a saying that by the time you can have your superannuation fund, its purchasing power has been reduced by inflation to about 20% of what you can buy today. Network Marketing has become a consideration for health care workers and the baby boomers generation.

Even to this day you can mention network marketing or home business and people still think of Amway. It has come along way, thankfully, by teaching people how to market in a more effective manner. As people begin to age and look at retirement, they still need something to keep them busy. Going back to school is not always an option but learning a new skill is. Attraction network marketing is a skill that anyone working online needs to know.

Today, more and more evidence from the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) influences many people to take their health into their own hands by using nutritional supplements based on scientific research. In the Benefits of Nutritional Supplements, The Council for Responsible Nutrition (based in Washington, D.C.) reviewed over a decade's worth of scientific research measuring the health benefits of multivitamins and other nutritional supplements.

They found that nutritional supplements can promote health and help prevent disease among the baby boomers. Despite prejudices and misinformation, the network marketing industry has grown to over USD 100 billion in revenue. The aging of baby boomers; Generation X ( in the thirties of age) and Generation Y (from 18 to thirty of age) who place more emphasis on balanced lifestyle/family than that of their parents will lead to a boom in the health and wellness industry.

If you are not yet prepared for retirement as a health care worker, baby boomer. Find out about working at home in network marketing? How is that possible?
