Promoting Your Health Care Practice Online

When someone is looking for a health care practitioner, the majority of people will search the Internet to find a health provider near them. The important question is: Will they find your office?
Health Care Websites
A medical website is quite different than a website for a plumber, lawn care service, or auto dealer. Not only must a medical website show professionalism and credibility, but it must also project an image of compassion.
Medical Office Video
Seeing is Believing. When a potential patient sees the doctor, nurse, or therapist actually interacting with patients, performing procedures or talking with patients, it creates a very positive effect. Video makes an emotional connection with the prospective patient.
A medical practice video on the Internet is not only very affordable, but can be seen by thousands of people. Many online videos become “viral” and spread quickly on the Internet.
A Health Blog
If you don’t already have a blog for your practice, you should start one immediately. A blog that is centered to your specialty and regularly updates is one of the best ways to reach out to current and prospective patients.
When people search for information on a specific health condition, they can read about it in your blog. By providing value and helping people understand their health condition, you automatically become the authority to them.
With your blog, all a person has to do is click on a link and e-mail you for more information, or to make an appointment.
Social Media Marketing
By participating in social marketing (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Etc.) you help to brand yourself and your practice, creating more visibility on the Internet. Social media marketing should form an integral part of your Internet Marketing campaigns.
Other forms of online networking include answering questions online, engaging in dialogue on discussion forums, and online directories.
After 35 years in practice Dr. Enders closed his Chiropractic Clinic to pursue a career in Network Marketing. He soon realized that if your business is not on the Internet, you're not in business. In his search to learn Internet Marketing Dr. Enders discovered Renegade Professional and the principle of attraction marketing.

Great article. I am finding that doctors are a bit slow on the uptake for technology. It would be wonderful to see more doctors posting on blogs, putting up videos on web sites etc . I offer doctors and anyone who is in the health industry a software for making their office more efficient and stressfree. I am finding that the new doctors are seeing the value of the software but the ones who are in their 40's and 50's just don't want to hear anything about paperless systems.
