One of the concepts that Napoleon Hill teaches in his books is the concept of Autosuggestion. Many people look at autosuggestion as a bunch of mental mumble jumble. However, if you talk to a number of successful people in a variety of different disciplines, you will find that they practice autosuggestion in some way, shape or form.

Autosuggestion is a concept that allows you to influence your subconscious mind. Experts on the mind have separated our mind into three parts. They are the conscious mind, the subconscious mind and the superconscious mind.

The conscious mind consists of the thoughts that appear in your head. So, for instance if you are taking a shower and you get a good idea of another way you can expose people to your network marketing business, that idea appears in your conscious mind.

The great thing about the subconscious mind is there are steps that you can take to program it. One of the primary principles that Napoleon Hill recommends for this is the principle of autosuggestion.

There are three steps that you can take to program your subconscious mind through the principle of autosuggestion. These steps are taught at length in Napoleon Hill’s best selling book, Think And Grow Rich.

The Three Steps to Building a Network Marketing Opportunity with Autosuggestion

Let’s suppose your goal is to become a Regional Executive in your network marketing company compensation plan. Let’s assume that the average Regional Executive makes between $3000 and $10,000 a month passively in your company’s compensation plan. How do you program your mind to make this goal a reality?

Here are the three steps recommended by Napoleon Hill that I have placed in a network marketing context:

1. Recite to yourself with emotion your goal, by what date it will be accomplished and what you will give in return for hitting that goal.

2. Repeat this recitation to yourself twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night.

3. Write down this recitation somewhere that you can see it night and day. One intuitive place is your bedroom since that’s where most of us sleep at night and wake up from in the morning. This way, it will be one of the first things you see.

You would be amazed at how many network marketing distributors do not practice these principles. You would be equally amazed at what will happen to your business if you begin to apply these principles to it.
