Network Marketing Home Business – The TRUE Test of a Good Network Marketing Company!
Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 01:34PM
There are a lot of great network marketing home business companies that you can get involved in. There are also even more scams or poorly conceived opportunities as well.

While certainly your attitude, training and motivation play a big part in determining success, picking a good network marketing company to begin with can help determine how quickly you succeed.
There are many distributors who align themselves with the wrong network marketing companies. When the company struggles or goes out of business they wonder why. In many cases, all of the signs were there. They just weren’t trained on how to read them.
They Don’t Teach Network Marketing Home Business Identification in School
Part of the problem is that we aren’t taught in school how to identify a solid business opportunity, how to position ourselves ahead of it or how to take advantage of it.
What we learn in school is how to get a job and work for someone else. Therefore the only way we can learn about running a network marketing home business is through trial and error or from others who can teach us.
Too many people get involved with network marketing companies based on things that have nothing to do with the business opportunity.
For instance, some people get involved in an opportunity because it’s in pre-launch. Others get involved because some guru said it was good.
Still others get involved because they have the potential to get spillover. Others get involved because the compensation plan is the “best in the industry.”
All of these reasons in and of themselves are poor reasons to get involved in a network marketing business opportunity.
What’s The ONE True Test of a Good Network Marketing Home Business?
There is only one true test that determines whether a network marketing company is a good one or not. The test is whether or not you could sell the product outside of network marketing?
If you could sell the product using more traditional means of distribution, like retail or hiring a sales team, you have a good business opportunity.
Unfortunately there are a lot of business opportunities promoting products nobody would touch in a million years outside of network marketing. However, they throw a network marketing label on it and people flock to it like gangbusters.
If the opportunity doesn’t make sense outside of network marketing, the opportunity shouldn’t make sense inside of network marketing. You should run far away and look for somewhere else to invest your time and money.
Let me give you an example. Suppose I wanted you to sign up for an MP3 player that cost $25,000. It’s no different from a $200 Ipod. However, when you sign up I’m also going to give you a website where you can sell the MP3 player to other people for $25,000 and earn a $7,500 commission.
At face value, you wouldn’t even consider this opportunity. However, when I add the fact that you can earn a $7,500 commission, many people might consider it.
I used this exaggerated example to illustrate a point. Many network marketing companies do this (with lower price points of course) and attract distributors who simply don’t know any better all the time.
Don’t make that mistake. If you wouldn’t buy a $200 Ipod for $25,000, don’t buy it because you can earn a $7,500 commission.
