Getting a high Google page rank (PR) is something that most internet marketers struggle at, but implementing the seo secrets to getting the ranking that you would like to see for your website or blog is not that difficult.
First thing you need to understand is that getting your site listed in the top 10 positions of Google has nothing to do with page rank, but it will be a lot easier to get there and stay there if you have a high ranking. You need to also realize PR will probably not help you generate prospects any quicker if your site is already in the top 10 positions.
SEO Secrets to Incoming Links for Page Rank
Google page rank is a measurement of your site’s authority on your niche. Google measures your sites authority by checking to see the value of incoming links it has. You could say that each incoming link is a vote for your site, but the ranking is not limited to that alone your sites internal linking structure has a big affect on it also.
Your internal links act as votes as well though not to the same degree and not in the same manner. Following good search engine optimization with your internal links will raise the overall PR of the website and can be used to manipulate the PR of any specific page on your site, and you should also realize all incoming links from other sites don’t carry the same value either.
Google uses an equation to figure out the value of the link pointing to your site; it’s based on a sharing of PR with the other outbound links on the page your link is on. I could give you the equation, and all the technical jargon, but it boggles my mind so I won’t bore you with that.
It boils down to one thing if you're sharing links with 100 other people on a PR 7 page it would not raise your PR rank as much as sharing a link with 1 or 2 others on a PR 5 site.
SEO Secrets to Incoming Link Value
You also need to consider what type of links you want to point to your site. Let’s just say that you had a site or a blog about exotic plants in the Amazon and you had an incoming link from a wood working site.
That link would not raise your PR in fact it would lower it, always remember good seo and keep your links relevant. You should also realize that reciprocal linking is not as good as one way links, but that doesn't mean you should avoid reciprocal links altogether.
If you find a site that has higher PR than yours that is willing to do a reciprocal link exchange then it would be beneficial to do so, but if your PR is much higher it would be wiser to not accept a link exchange.
Following a few simple seo secrets can increase your google page rank and get your site indexed by the search engines much quicker while giving you the added benefit of raising your search engine placement as well.
